(October 30) Louisiana Pastor Charged With Sexual Abuse of Teen; Second Victim Has Come Forward | Louisiana

Louisiana Pentecostal pastor Milton O. Martin III has been charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a minor following allegations that he repeatedly sexually abused a teen at his church.

Martin had been serving as pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette. He has held that position for 14 years, according to 4WWL. 

The accuser, who is now 28 years old, alleges not only that Milton repeatedly abused her but also that the church did nothing to investigate earlier claims of sexual abuse. She further claims that the Worldwide Pentecostal Fellowship (WPF), the denomination of which First Pentecostal Church is a member, failed to supervise Martin around children.

(October 30) San Francisco Man Allegedly Assaults Parishioner At Church, Tosses ‘Improvised Device' At Police During Chase | San Francisco, CA

A San Francisco man allegedly assaulted a parishioner at one of the city's churches on Sunday before throwing an unknown object at officers during an ensuing police pursuit.

An unidentified man arrived at Saints Peter and Paul Church before service on Sunday and took communion before allegedly assaulting one of the parishioners and being chased out of the church, the pastor told local TV station KGO-TV.

Police responded to the 600 block of Filbert Street at about 5:52 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault. Officers located the suspect, who fled in a vehicle to avoid arrest.

(October 29) Retired Priest William Killeen Being Investigated For Alleged Sex Abuse At Hickory Hills Church | Chicago, IL

A retired priest with the Archdiocese of Chicago is under investigation for alleged child sexual abuse.

Cardinal Blase Cupich notified eight parishes about the allegation on Saturday.

Father William Killeen has been asked to step aside after the allegation was received earlier this week. 

The accuser says the abuse happened 40 years ago at Saint Patricia Parish in Hickory Hills. Killeen denied any wrongdoing.

Retired since 2019, Killeen celebrates Mass occasionally at St. Francis Xavier Parish and St. Cletus Parish, both in La Grange and St. John of the Cross Parish in Western Springs, the archdiocese said.

(October 29) Mike Bickle, Leader Of IHOP Movement, Accused Of Sexual Abuse | Kansas City, MO

Mike Bickle, the longtime leader of the Kansas City-based International House of Prayer, which in the late 1990s launched a global round-the-clock prayer meeting, has been accused of clergy sexual abuse by former leaders in the movement.

“A few days ago, we made the leadership team of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC) aware of serious allegations spanning several decades concerning its founder, Mike Bickle,” said former IHOP leader Dwayne Roberts and Brian Kim, along with Wes Martin, the former pastor of Forerunner Christian Fellowship, which has close ties to IHOP, in a statement released Saturday (Oct. 28).

“Without going into details to protect the privacy of the victims’ identities, we have found these allegations of clergy sexual abuse by Mike Bickle to be credible and long-standing. The credibility of these allegations is not based on any one experience or any one victim, but on the collective and corroborating testimony of the experiences of several victims.”
