Within the span of a week and a half, about $15,000 was drained from the Fellowship of Praise Church of God in Rocky Mount. Someone had stolen, duplicated and forged a check after it was mailed through the Westridge Post Office.

(April 19) Executive Pastor Pleads Guilty To Stealing $130,000 From Church To Pay Gambling Debt | New Hampshire
An executive pastor in New Hampshire recently pleaded guilty to stealing $130,000 from his church to pay off gambling debts.
As reported by The Christian Post, Gregory Neal of Rochester, made unauthorized withdrawals of approximately $130,000 using the debit and credit cards from Journey Baptist Church in Barrington between January 2017 and March 2020.
According to a press release by U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young, Neal “pleaded guilty to a one-count information alleging wire fraud” during his appearance in court last Wednesday.

(April 18) Theft Under Investigation At Utica Church | NY
The theft of some money and tools is under investigation at St. Mary of Mount Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church, according to the Utica Police Department.
Police said the thief or thieves are believed to have entered through the garage sometime in the past few days and stole money from a collecting bin and some tools. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.
No arrests have been made so far. The church is located on Jay Street on Utica’s east side.

(April 18) Charleston Woman Pleads Guilty To Financial Crimes, Including Stealing Church Money
A Charleston woman pleaded guilty April 18 in federal court to financial fraud charges, including siphoning funds from a local church to pay off credit card debt.
Felicia Alfreda Lyles pleaded guilty in Charleston’s U.S. District Court to bank fraud, aggravated identity theft and wire fraud as part of a negotiated settlement with the federal prosecutors.

(February 7) Catalytic Converter Stolen From Arnold Church Van | Arnold, MO
Police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from an Arnold Baptist Tabernacle Church van. The cost to repair the van was estimated at $500, Arnold Police reported.
At about 9:40 a.m. March 30, Arnold Police were called to the church, 3705 Telegraph Road, because the converter had been cut off a 2009 Ford E-350. The theft happened between about 9 p.m. March 25 and before the church contacted police, the report said.
