Jun 03, 2023(June 2) Suspect Accused Of Snatching Necklace From Woman Outside Roxbury Church Sought By Police| Boston, MA
Authorities are asking for the public’s help after they say a suspect stole a necklace off a woman’s neck Sunday morning while she was outside a church.
The necklace allegedly had the wedding band of the woman’s deceased husband attached to it.
Boston Police say the attack happened around 11:45 a.m. on May 28 in the area of 241 Blue Hill Avenue. The victim was allegedly approached by an unknown man who ripped the chain from her neck and then tried stealing the victim’s purse. Officials say the victim was able to fight him off and he fled on foot towards Maywood Street.

(June 1) Trio Charged With Church Theft | Waterville, NY
An investigation into an alleged burglary incident has led to a trio of arrests.
According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol, deputies from the road patrol division took a burglary complaint on May 10 at the United Methodist Church clothing donation shed in Waterville.
The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Unit and with the assistance of road patrol they arrested three suspects. Nicole Wystozaly, 38, Oriskany Falls; Glen Sauerhafer, 39, Waterville and Shane Riano, 36, Bridgewater were all arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony.

(June 1) OKCPD Searching For Serial plant Thief In NW OKC | OK
Oklahoma City police are looking for a serial plant thief.
Police say this man has stolen numerous potted plants from a church in northwest Oklahoma City and are actively trying to find him.
According to the police report, the man stole approximately $200 worth of flowers from Zotung Baptist Church. The church said the same man keeps returning and stealing the flowers and flowerpots.

(May 31) Meyersville Man Arrested Accused Of Stealing From Goliad County Church | TX
Goliad County Sheriff's Deputies made an arrest in DeWitt County Tuesday. Philip Maas of Meyersville taken into custody for burglary. Maas is accused of stealing property from a northern Goliad County church.
Maas is in the Goliad County Jail.

(May 31) Cyber Thieves Swipe $700,000 From Jacksonville-Based Church Network | Jacksonville, FL
A Jacksonville-based church organization is trying to get back more than $700,000 stolen by cyber thieves.
The Florida Baptist Convention is a network of Southern Baptist churches that span the state and it relies on donations, money that was taken in what the group calls “financial fraud.”
The Florida Baptist Convention, based in Jacksonville, has announced it lost more than half a million dollars in a recent hack. The church lost money that was meant to help a community of churches and ministries.
