(March 10) Witham: Damage To Church After Lead Theft | ENGLAND

We’re investigating the attempted theft of a large amount of lead from a church roof which took place in Witham in the early hours of Friday 10 March.

We were called shortly after 1am to St Nicolas' Church, in Chipping Hill.
It was reported that three men were disturbed while removing the lead and quickly fled the area.

(March 7) Finance Managers In Court For Stealing Church Money | ZIMBABWE

An Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) employee Taurai Simango was arraigned before the Harare Magistrate Evelyn Mashavakure charged of stealing US$76 758-00 from the organisation.

According to the state, during the period from 30 January 2020 to September 2021 and on different occasions, Taurai Simango, who is EFZ Finance Manager misrepresented to the complainant that he had paid cash to different suppliers yet in actual fact he had not paid anything.

(March 7) Church Candle Thief Imprisoned For Two Years And Six Months | Dominica

For the next two years and six months, the Dominica State Prison will be the home of a well-known defendant to the court, Anthony Scotland of Pointe Michel, commonly known as Bwillay or Fyar.

Less than a month after Scotland was given a six-month suspended jail sentence for one year for theft on February 19, 2023, he again appeared in court charged with stealing two candles and candle holders from St Luke Parish Catholic Church valued at $276.00.
