Mar 24, 2023(March 21) Orthodox Patriarchate Slams ‘Heinous’ Attack Against The Tomb Of Mary In Jerusalem | JERUSALEM
The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Primate Theophilos III, united with the synod, all the clergy and the faithful, issued a statement following yesterday’s “heinous terrorist attack” during the Sunday morning liturgy by “at least two Jewish extremists”.
The target was the Church of Gethsemane in Jerusalem, where the Tomb of the Virgin Mary is located, one of the holiest sites for Orthodox Christians.

(March 20) Woman Remanded Over Church Thefts Following Arrest Of Husband | CYPRUS
Paphos District Court issued a four-day remand order on Monday against a 28-year-old woman involved in the burglary of a chapel.
According to police spokesman Michalis Nicolaou, this is the second arrest in the case, since the woman’s husband, also 28, has already been detained for five days.
Last Thursday, at 2.45pm, police received a tip-off that a suspicious person was inside the chapel of Ayios Georgios in Yeroskipou.

(March 20) Leduc RCMP Investigating After Religious Items Stolen From Church | CANADA
RCMP are investigating after thousands of dollars worth of religious items were stolen during a break and enter at a church in Calmar.
RCMP believe an unknown suspect broke into the church by breaking a window and damaged a number of doors inside the building, then stole a large quantity of traditional Orthodox religious items with a value of more than $3,000, said police.

Fifty-year-old Lawrence, who claimed to be a church employee exploited Class XI girl’s poverty to satiate his sexual urges in Madurai, Tamil Nadu
The police are yet to arrest the Kanyakumari church man who sexually assaulted over 50 women; another incident in which a man who claimed to be an advocate, and church employees, raped a Class XI student from Ponmeni, Madurai, is in financial crisis. Coming to know this, Koodal Nagar Lawrence, 50, came forward last year claiming that he was working in the church and was a lawyer.
