Apr 29, 2023(April 26) Man Arrested For Allegedly Threating To Shoot Church-Goers During Shreveport City Council Livestream | Shreveport, LA
A Shreveport man has been arrested for reportedly threating to kill people on social media. Detectives say 32-year-old Christopher T. Short used a fake social media account to make a direct threat to harm white people at Catholic churches.
This occurred during a livestream of a Shreveport City Council meeting on Monday, April 24.
That threat was reported to CPSO and an investigation was launched. Officials obtained and executed a search warrant for Short’s home. During the search, detectives found an AR-15 style pistol with a 60-round magazine. They seized the weapon, magazine and electronic devices.

(April 24) Deadly Double Shooting Near Memphis Church Shocks Community | Memphis, TN
Police responded to a shooting in Southwest Memphis that left two people dead.
The violent attack happened Sunday, just before 8 p.m. near East Peebles and Meadowbrook. Those in the area awoke to news of a double homicide outside their front doors.
The cause of the shooting still remains unclear.
“I am really ashamed of Memphis. I’ve been here all my life, born and raised here. It’s a disgrace,” said a woman in the area. The crime rate is the reason she left the community a few months ago.

(April 24) East side Church Grapples With Violence Response After Double Murder | Indianapolis, IN
Indianapolis’ 2023 homicide tally is far outpacing last year’s running total of killings on this date.
As of this afternoon, IMPD had investigated 73 homicides this year, compared to 62 on April 23, 2022, and 77 on this date in 2021 when Indianapolis’ homicide total hit an annual record.
”It feels like it’s getting worse,” said Damon Keough after the congregation of the Brookside Community Church took a prayer walk through its neighborhood Sunday. ”You can’t have a ball come into someone’s yard and somebody shoot you, it’s everywhere all at once, it’s not just in Brookside, it’s a national situation.”

(April 23) Man Shoots Would-Be Robber To Death In Chattanooga Near Church Saturday Night | Chattanooga, TN
A Chattanooga man shot a would-be robber to death Saturday night, claiming self-defense, according to Chattanooga Police.
A release says officers found the victim's body on the 100 block of 41st Street.
Police say the man who fired the fatal shot told officers the victim was robbing him, and that he responded in self-defense.
The shooting took place about a block away from Westside Baptist Church.
