Aug 26, 2023(August 24) Armed Man Arrested At Fort Worth Church After Dead Dog Discovered, Reports Of Threats | Fort Worth, TX
A 27-year-old man accused of harming an animal, possessing several weapons at a Fort Worth church and and threatening people is now facing multiple felonies.
Initially, Fort Worth police officers responded about 11 a.m. Wednesday to a universalist church in the 1900 block of Sandy Lane, concerning a dead dog found in the community garden. When officers arrived, police said they found the dog and a rifle with multiple shell casings nearby, according to a news release Thursday.

(August 23) Fallon Church Shooting Suspect Found Incompetent To Stand Trial | Fallon, NV
The man accused of a fatal shooting at a church in Fallon five years ago is still incompetent to stand trial - and it is unlikely that will change in the near future.
John O'Connor is suspected of killing volunteer firefighter, Charles 'Bert' Miller and shooting and injuring Miller's brother, Duane, back in July of 2018.
On Tuesday, the court reported that he has a mental disorder and is a potential danger to others -- so he should remain at Lake's Crossing, a maximum security psychiatric facility in Sparks.

(August 21) Deadly Shooting On Church Grounds| Gastonia, NC
A man is facing charges after a deadly shooting at a Gastonia church Sunday afternoon, police said.
Gastonia police responded to a shooting at Faith Hope and Love Community Enrichment Ministries Inc. on North Oakland Street around 3 p.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found 57-year-old Freddie Lee Byrd dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators determined that Byrd and the suspect, 56-year-old Donald Ray Beatty, both lived at Faith Hope and Love in neighboring tents.
