Feb 25, 2023(February 23) Police: Man Shot And Killed At Church In Bloomington | Bloomington, IL
A Bloomington man was found dead at Victory Church on Monday. The McLean County Sheriff's Deputies were notified of unusual activity on the property. When deputies arrived, they located Kiejoun Watts, 20, who was unresponsive. Preliminary autopsy opinion indicates that Watts sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

(February 21) Murder Suspect Found Hiding In Trash Can Behind Georgia Church | Valdosta, GA
A man is facing multiple felony charges in the shooting death of a man in Valdosta. On Feb. 19, at about 8:17 p.m., Valdosta police responded to a home on Holliday Street after several people called 911 to report a shooting.
The 911 callers told the dispatch operators that a car had crashed into a house and they saw a man walking away from the car, while another man was lying on the ground.

(February 21) Police Say Sunday Shooting Struck Baton Rouge Church With People Inside | Baton Rouge, LA
The Baton Rouge Police Department said a church was shot at on Sunday night.
According to the police, shots were fired in the air and one shot was fired at the Iglesia Misionera Pentecostes on South Tamari Drive around 9 p.m. Police said between 50 and 60 people were at the church.

Prosecutors have charged a man with killing a Catholic bishop in a crime that stunned religious and immigrant communities in Los Angeles.
Auxiliary Bishop David O’Connell, 69, was fatally shot multiple times on Saturday in the bedroom of his home in Hacienda Heights, an unincorporated community about 20 miles (30km) east of downtown Los Angeles.

(February 17) Gary Shooting: 13-Year-Old Boy Found Shot To Death Outside Church | Gary, IN
A 13-year-old boy was shot to death outside a church Wednesday. Police said they were called to the 1300-block of Lincoln Street for a welfare check on a person on the street by the church around 12:15 p.m. by a passerby.
When they arrived, officers found a Black male face down on the sidewalk in front of Power and Light Church with apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived and confirmed he had died.
