(June 15) ‘Perverts’: Woman Charged With Vandalizing Florida Church With Graffiti | Miami, FL

A woman who spray-painted hateful messages on the walls of a Florida church and damaged one of the altars has been arrested and charged with vandalism.

Alfa Illescas, 44, was arrested by the Miami-Dade Police Department, Homeland Security Bureau, for her alleged role in vandalizing St. Timothy Catholic Church of Miami last Saturday.

(June 15) Man Accused Of Vandalizing Delano Church Pleads No Contest | Bakersfield, CA

The man accused of vandalizing a Delano church in July and September of last year pleaded no contest to vandalizing a church to intimidate based on race, along with other vandalism and property damage charges.

Kyle Lewis Sison was accused of vandalizing church signs, walls, and windows with spray paint while writing racial slurs at the New Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

(June 14) Conway Police Investigating After Three Black Churches Are Vandalized | Conway, AR

On June 13, the Conway Police Department filed three separate criminal mischief reports regarding property damage at three predominately Black churches.

At this time, officials have not been able to confirm whether these incidents are connected or not.

The first incident occurred at Agape Community Temple of Servants located at 1423 Ingram Street.

(June 12) Church Fire In The Greater OST | South Union Area

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a storage room on the outside of a church. They forced entry and extinguished a small fire in an electrical/HVAC room with no extension past the room.

(June 11) Vandals Damage LGBTQ Door Display At South St. Louis County Church | St. Louis County, MO

A south St. Louis County church is repairing its LGBTQ display after damage suspected by a group of vandals.

For the past several years, Concord Trinity Methodist United Church has put up an LGBTQ display on church grounds during Pride Month. Sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning, a portion of it had been knocked down.

The display is made of six doors, each colored the same way the Pride flag is – red, orange, yellow, green, indigo and violet. Each door had the words “God’s doors are open to all.”
