Jun 24, 2023(June 22) Miami Woman Charged In Vandalism Of Catholic Church And School | Miami, FL
A Florida woman has been charged with a hate crime after she vandalized a local Catholic church.
Alfa Illescas, a 44-year-old Miami resident, was spotted on surveillance cameras vandalizing St. Timothy Catholic Church, according to Miami-Dade Police.
Illescas reportedly spray-painted graffiti on various walls, signage and columns in the church’s school courtyard – including the words “perverts,” “pigs” and “liars,” along with an upside-down cross.

(June 22) Warrenton Church Fire Remains Under Investigation| VA
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Missouri State Fire Marshals are handling the investigation. As of June 20, arson had not been ruled out as a cause of the fire.
ATF has a congressional mandate to investigate fires at churches and other houses of worship.
The initial call was received at 4:52 a.m. The caller reported something was on fire in the direction of both the church and Extra Space Storage, according to the dispatch notes. The caller was unable to see through the black smoke. The caller also said that it smelled like hot plastic.

(June 21) Boy Charged In Church Vandalism In South Jersey: Police | Pleasantville, NJ
A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection with vandalism at a church.
Pleasantville police responded to 353 South New Road, Mt. Zion Baptist Church in reference to a reported broken window.
Officers Mathew Stricker and Jeffery Beras located a broken window in the rear of the church.
A rock was located near the broken window which appeared to have been used to break the window, police said.

Episcopal Church of the Messiah, located at 53 Carleton Ave, was consumed by a fire at about 3:30 a.m., the Islip Fire Department said.

(June 17) I-Team: Vandals Repeatedly Target Anne Arundel County Church | Baltimore, MD
Security cameras captured three men who vandalized a "Black Lives Matter" sign in Odenton. And it's not the first time this has happened.
"Absolutely we are being targeted because of the message and because of people's disagreement with the message," said churchgoer Ryan Stavely.
Anne Arundel County police said three unidentified men with their faces covered spray-painted the banner at Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church.
The video obtained by 11 News shows two men go toward the sign while a third records their actions. Within seconds, they run away.
